FAQ - Vba-21p-0969-are

Do military members have to pay any fee for leave or fiancee forms?
NOOOOOOO. You are talking to a military romance scammer. I received an email from the US Army that directly answers your question that is pasted below please keep reading.I believe you are the victim of a military Romance Scam whereas the person you are talking to is a foreign national posing as an American Soldier claiming to be stationed overseas on a peacekeeping mission. That's the key to the scam they always claim to be on a peacekeeping mission.Part of their scam is saying that they have no access to their money that their mission is highly dangerous. If your boyfriend girlfriend/future husband/wife is asking you to do the following or has exhibited this behavior, it is a most likely a scam:Moves to private messaging site immediately after meeting you on Facebook or SnapChat or Instagram or some dating or social media site. Often times they delete the site you met them on right after they asked you to move to a more private messaging siteProfesses love to you very quickly & seems to quote poems and song lyrics along with using their own sort of broken language, as they profess their love and devotion quickly. They also showed concern for your health and love for your family.Promises marriage as soon as he/she gets to state for leave that they asked you to pay for. They Requests money (wire transfers) and Amazon, iTune ,Verizon, etc gift cards, for medicine, religious practices, and leaves to come home, internet access, complete job assignments, help sick friend, get him out of trouble, or anything that sounds fishy. The military does prall the soldier needs including food medical Care and transportation for leave. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. I am just trying to show you examples that you are most likely being connned.Below is an email response I received after I sent an inquiry to the US government when I discovered I was scammed. I received this wonderful response back with lots of useful links on how to find and report your scammer. And how to learn more about Romance Scams.Right now you can also copy the picture he gave you and do a google image search and you will hopefully see the pictures of the real person he is impersonating. this doesn't always work and take some digging. if you find the real person you can direct message them and alert them that their image is being used for scamming.Good Luck to you and I'm sorry this may be happening to you. please continue reading the government response I received below it's very informative.u00a0u00a0u00a0You have contacted an email that is monitored by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command. Are there any books, tutorials, etc. that show how to lay out a complex VBA program? Something that shows how a professional software developer would lay this out?
You have provided insufficient information for a meaningful reply. Iu2019ll give a few books below but first let me explain why context is important. The u201cAu201d in VBA stands for u201capplication(s)u201d. VBA is generally used as an embedded scripting language within an application. For example, MSu2023 Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Outlook, etc) use VBA for internal scripting, macros, and other functions such as advanced formatting. There are also third-party applications which use licensed versions of VBA. MS Access uses a variant of VBA as its procedural language and related forms tool. The exact functions & features available within VBA depend on the context of the application where itu2019s embedded u2023 although it is possible to mix-and-match, creating cross-application tools and run scripts which manipulate multiple applications at once. This later feature is particularly useful for working with Outlook attachments and nested/embedded Office documents. There are many versions of VBA, usually tied to MS Office versions. The options, functions, configuration tools, and so forth have changed through the years to keep in synch with MS Office versions and Windows UI guidelines. So, without some context on your requirements (what youu2019re trying to do or learn), itu2019s hard to give a good answer. Your question is also subjective since code organization and structure can differ greatly among coders. MS has made some suggestions but, as far as I know, there are no official best practices in this regard. The issue of what constitutes u201ccomplexu201d is also questionable and largely depends on your requirements + your experience.Having said all that, here are a few things you might find useful (some of these may not apply to the version of VBA you want to use, see above for the caveat on context of MS Office applications):Best Practices for Organizing VBA ModulesWriting solid VBA codehttp://users.iems.northwestern.e... (a bit dated & Excel-specific but some good guidelines)How best to structure Excel VBA Code for maintenance, clarity and error handlingMastering VBA for Microsoft Office 2023 (Third Edition), Richard Mansfield, ISBN: 978-1119225386Building VBA Apps: Using Microsoft Access 2023. F. Mark Schiavone, ISBN: 978-0615927114 (also dated but switches up for using VBA within MS Access and covers key differences of using the language in that context)A final caveat. I donu2019t agree with all points in the above documents but these should pryou some ideas. From there you can determine what works best for your needs. The best advice I can give is to create code thatu2019s easily readable and usable by others. This means easy to understand, change, and fix when needed.
Why are there no VBA jobs out there when so many companies rely on it and it is so cheap and fast to build simple business automation solutions with VBA?
I work for a large UK company in the finance industry and we have tried a number of times to recruit programmers to support and develop our VBA applications. We probably have 1u201310 million lines of code in our apps and shared libraries. Our programmers recognise that VBA is a poor language but this is what we have to use. Most of the candidates we get have very limited experience with VBA and no programming background. They fail even the most basic technical interviews. For example, in some cases the code we get doesnu2019t even work, and where it does it never meets best practice, eg is never documented (we would accept either code comments, or self documented code through meaningful variable names etc). There are lots of people who claim to know VBA, but those with the level of skill needed tend to prefer to program in other languages and so look down on VBA. It may be a poor language, but that doesnu2019t mean VBA programmers need to be poor programmers. In short, there are jobs out there. You just need to know where to look! Look in the finance industry.
